Navigating Differences on the Procreation of Children

Navigating Differences on the Procreation of Children

Have you and your partner ever found yourselves in a disagreement over the idea of having children, or perhaps felt concerns about the challenges associated with welcoming a child into your lives, be it financial or for other reasons?

I understand your concerns. In his #BibleinaYear series, Fr. Mike Schmitz emphasizes the profound blessing children bring to families and couples. He draws a parallel to the story of Moses, born during a time when Pharaoh ordered the killing of all Hebrew baby boys. Despite the dire circumstances, Moses was miraculously saved and went on to play a pivotal role in liberating the Israelites from centuries of slavery in Egypt. Can you see the divine plan at work here?

A Little Reflection

What does this teaching tell us? Personally it reinforces the idea that God never abandons us. He hears our cries, just as He heard the cries of the Israelites enduring a life of slavery in Egypt. God’s actions may not always be visible, but as seen in the stories of the Bible, He has a grand plan that unfolds in remarkable ways. You never know if your child might become the next great individual, much like Moses, as God has a unique plan for each of us.

So, in times of trouble, turn to Him and seek His guidance. Embrace the mystery of faith, recognizing that God’s bigger plan brings out the best in us. If you’re facing struggles, remember that you’re not alone.
